The journey

The route and the experience.

A 10-day Everest Base Camp option for travelers seeking a shorter program in the Khumbu. The trekking rate is $2,950 per person, plus helicopter flight cost (TBD).

GoTrek plans the daily route and helicopter arrangements with you before departure. Your experience, fitness, and acclimatization needs determine whether the shorter option is a suitable fit.

Prefer a longer journey? The 18-day Everest Base Camp program remains available, with more time in the Khumbu.

This remains a trekking journey rather than an Everest climbing expedition. Compare it with the longer program by looking at walking time, overnight stops, and flight arrangements together. The shorter headline duration is a starting point for a suitability discussion, not a substitute for one.

Culture & setting

The trip begins and ends in Kathmandu and passes through Sherpa villages, homes, markets, and monasteries within Sagarmatha National Park.

Before the trail begins

Choose the shorter journey with care.

Consecutive walking days are the commitment. Build familiarity with uneven trails, your walking footwear, and the day pack you will use. Share recent hikes with Craig so the preparation discussion starts with your actual experience.

Experience

Experience for this route.

Base-camp trekking does not require technical climbing skills. Comfort walking for several days and enough time for the agreed acclimatization schedule matter more than a beginner or advanced label.

Equipment & travel

Equipment and travel.

Ask Craig to explain the daily route, overnight stops, helicopter routing, and acclimatization plan before registering. The 10-day option needs an individual suitability discussion; a flight does not replace acclimatization time.
